I'm looking through what I think is the oldest text document about DELTARUNE that I can find. This is one of the first facts about Susie. Even though this has never happened in the game, everyone just intuitively understands this as true. I won.

Misinformation about level count on box art FUDGING THE NUMBERS Wario Land 4 Over twenty enormous stages await! Wario Land 4 has 18 platforming levels. These are all fairly large and can be reasonably described as "enormous". However, to bring the number to "over 20", the six boss stages have to be counted, which each are exactly one single GBA screen in size. The game either has "enormous stages" or "over 20" of them, but definitely not both. REAL ESTATE AD EQUIVALENT Counting walk-in closets as rooms STRETCHING THE DEFINITIONS Donkey Kong Country Over 100 levels Donkey Kong Country has 33 platforming levels, 40 if boss stages are also counted. The "over 100" number comes from counting individual bonus rooms within levels as levels, which by any reasonable definition would be considered parts of a level instead. Any technical definition by which a room could be counted as a level, such as "a level is anything that is loaded into memory separately", would not reflect the general usage of that word. REAL ESTATE AD EQUIVALENT Counting cupboards as rooms BLATANT FABRICATION Super Mario World Explore 96 levels Super Mario World has 73 levels. The number 96 comes from the box counting levels with two exits as two levels each. It is generally understood that in a platformer, a "level" is a distinct area. Counting a single area as two just because it has two ways to exit it is at best incomprehensible logic and at worst deliberately misleading. REAL ESTATE AD EQUIVALENT Counting doors as rooms

Occasionally, box art of Mario-related games will be misleading about the number of levels a game has. I list three examples in ascending order of "fraudulence", alongside equivalent statements if these were real estate ads.
