A wine bar this good deserves to be busier on a Thursday night. A good selection of wines and small plates to go with them.

What’s wrong with it? Oxidative style, probably goes well with Comte cheese (also from the Jura).
I enjoy most Jura wine styles…
Started reading it - seems like a good book. Certainly received a good review on @jancisrobinson.com from Tamlyn Currin - “…an exceptional, thought-provoking book.” Early days for me, but I would tend to agree.

Nice selection, though Clai Brombonero Refošk isn't a white wine...
See www.clai.hr/wine/brombon...
A good day at #ActonScottHeritageFarm, a #VolunteerDay and also start-day for employees 2 & 3 - the Farm Manager and Volunteer / Visitor Experience Manager.
Great that the charity is making progress towards reopening the #VictorianFarm site more fully. More at: actonscottheritagefarm.org.uk
Lovely cat. We have the same puzzle mat on our table!

Two of these amazing wines in glass. Clear, amber to nutty brown liquid that belies the amazing flavours - which are still bright even from relatively long aged vintages.
Excellent Gravner wine dinner with Mateja Gravner last night at eòrna in Edinburgh. Great to be able to taste these wines and learn about their making. Great company, and excellent food as expected at eòrna.

A good read.
Had the pleasure of being at a Gravner dinner at eòrna in Edinburgh last night with Mateja Gravner.
Frosty misty morning view with trees. The sun and some blue sky just making an appearance.
Clun Castle (ruins) on a misty morning, with sheep in the foreground looking to see if the cameraman has any food for them.
Snowy scene with trees, fields and hedgerows.
Night sky, possibly with some Aurora Borealis.
Some recent local Clun Valley photos for my first post. Now I’m spending more time here I can spend more time taking photos.
