Last week Jessica Tarlov explained the many inconsistencies in the Trump admin's explanations about the war in Iran. Tarlov also mentioned stranded Americans in the Middle East. I've include an excerpt of a segment from PBS that demonstrates exactly what she was talking about.

Jack Carr, former Navy SEAL, was asked what he thought of Russia giving Iran intelligence about U.S. forces. He said a lot but didn't really make much of a point except to downplay it. He also compared the war to a UFC match - no kidding.
Sean Hannity praised Steve Witkoff for his excellent negotiations skills. Witkoff is a real estate developer with no diplomatic experience before Trump put him and his son-in-law Jared Kushner in charge of deals with Iran, Russia and Hamas. Two billionaire real estate developers...not diplomats.

Someone should tell Brian Kilmeade that Trump was president for FOUR YEARS after Barack Obama. If Trump wanted to make major changes during his first term with our military and the Middle East he could have done it then.
The idea that he promotes wacky things like beef tallow and goes to tanning beds. He’s Irish and has heavily tanned skin. I have no idea how he hasn’t at least gotten basal cell. I have so many relatives who have some form of skin cancer.
I’ve had friends die from cancer before 50 who had incredibly healthy lifestyles. Cancer is so incredibly random. There’s so many factors that can cause it that we have no control over. I’m glad you survived it.

While Brian Kilmeade was quoting Trump telling tankers to just take the risk and transport crude oil in a war zone someone at Fox News thought it was a good idea to pair his words with images of billowing plumes of black smoke and massive fires across Iran.
Ainsley Earhardt quoted the President as saying the increased gasoline prices were a "small price to pay for the United States and the world for safety and peace." He also said he obliterated Iran's nuclear program in June 2025 so 🤷♀️

Lawrence Jones seemed befuddled that the other Middle East nations didn't want to join in the fight. Why would they fight when the U.S. started the conflict. A larger regional war would likely be a huge disaster. Was it part of the plan to add other countries?
Rep. Carlos Gimenez on the "political hit" of Trump's war: "You gotta pay the price to have long-term stability in oil and long-stability not only in the Middle East but around the world. You gotta pay the price. If it takes four weeks, then so be it. If it takes a bit longer, then so be it."
