Cupid’s thoughts empty as the scene shocked him. What lingers left was..sadness, guilt..fear.

“We’re done.” The Incubus firmly said leaving the Cupid alone to process the sickening guilt and loss he now will have to endure…

“I-I didn’t know- they’d- I didn’t mean to-” before Soap could finish his excuses, Ghost snatched the Cupid’s beloved bow. Effortlessly snapping it in half with a sickening crack that echoed through the empty fields..

Soap’s heart dropped when he saw Ghost rip out the arrow that was still materialized. This- this wasn’t supposed to happen!

His arrows weren’t supposed to harm him!

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” Ghost snarled, his empty sockets staring into the Cupid’s soul.

*For us.* he softly whispered, telling himself more than the target of his affections.

Time slowed down as the arrow flew with grace, piercing the incubus through the heart.

Hope only lasted so long before the Incubus roared in pain, halting before turning his attention to the Cupid.

The Cupid swallowed, slowly raising his bow, taking his arrow, aiming for the entity he desired more than the love he inspired in mortals..

Couldn’t bring himself to see the disappointment on his beloved friend’s face if a confession was given. So when the sun had laid at rest and the moon risen. The incubus turned his back leave.

Their following meeting place was somewhere lost in tall grass fields, sunset as the incubus preferred. Beneath the silly chatter, underneath the Cupid’s happy attitude was anticipation…

Soap huffed as Ghost’s tall form disappear into the shadows, turning away to think. Trying to think to sway the incubus to change his mind. That was when his eyes landed on his rose decorated bow..
