Some sad news. The Model Box in Barton le Clay, Bedfordshire will be closing in a few months. The dreadful winter has taken its toll on the owners health and wellbeing so they are packing up when the lease runs out.
If you are in the area pop in and help them clear their stock. 👍👍

I've been reminiscing about a childhood toy my parents vetoed because of its astronomical price tag. The beautiful thing about adulthood? No one can tell me no anymore 🤣

My 1988 vintage (re-release) Tamiya Avante is arriving next week!

It’s insane to think that the Trump administration was more welcoming this week to the Tate brothers than to the President of Ukraine.

Those pieces of paper you sometimes get with decal sheets, don’t throw them away, it is fine enough to slide under the tools on models for painting so you can paint them in place

If you're truly proud to be British, you stay on this cold, rainy island, pay your taxes and complain about it, you don't run off to some sunny tax haven to avoid paying for a system that gave you or your ancestors the wealth in the first place.

I wonder what the collective noun is for a group of Lysanders?

Good luck with the build. I look forward to seeing them progress 👍

Suella Braverman says UK could become ‘first Islamist nation with nuclear weapons’ Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman has told a delegation in Washington that Britain could become the first Islamist nation in possession of nuclear weapons.

Braverman should be driven out of public life for saying something as bigoted, conspiratorial, ridiculous, and dumb as this but she won’t be, of course, because anti-Muslim bigotry and Islamophobic fearmongering has been normalized in British public life.

"For me, this is the most horrible photo in the world (among so many horrible photos): a small child picks a flower and gives it to another child. Minutes later they were all gassed.

The photo was taken in 1944 in the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp."

If I see Bob Jenrick outside the Old Bailey filming little promo videos asking ‘how on earth did we end up in this situation?’ about the court backlog then please know I’m crashing his video with the answer:

You lot were in power for 14 years, Bob. Your party were at the wheel.

An enjoyable read Badger and so much of the modelling woes I identify with so closely, I could have written it myself. A position I’m sure many of us feel. Indeed I’m writing this whilst trying to motivate myself to get back to my Lancaster.

Good luck and thank you - I’m off to do some modelling 👍

Looking forward to your build John.

I’ve got this in the stash and I’m warming up with the Hasegawa 1/72 at my equally sedate build pace 🐌
