I think he has a very narrow view of that though. You can't translate those personal pronouns literally but you can get the same concepts across via speech mannerisms, etc
yeah but you make up for it in other ways, which Dragon Quest is exceeding good at. Accents, its own unique puns, affection for alliteration, etc. all unique to the English versions
