Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

If Anyone Can Pull Off a General Strike, It’s Minnesotans The massive outpouring of support for Friday’s day of action against ICE is something that just comes naturally to residents of the North Star State.

As Minnesota kicks off its day of freedom from ICE, my piece on how the state's movements built power to be ready for this moment, and the closest thing to a real general strike in maybe a century newrepublic.com/article/2053...

Clark Construction and Aceco — neither have permits for this project. Aceco's Asbestos licensure was cancelled over two years ago.

They should lose their licenses, get sued. It might stop other companies too. Normally a 2-3 year process for drawings, planning, permitting. All illegal (ofc)

How can blue states fight back against Trump? With fiscal disobedience | Eric Reinhart By holding back federal tax revenues, Democratic governors can turn a one-sided assault into a constitutional showdown

www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

“As anthropologist Janet Roitman argued in her study of taxation … in central Africa, acts of “fiscal disobedience” emerge not simply as refusals to pay but as political interventions that expose ruptures in the reciprocal obligations underlying fiscal authority”

Trump tells a roomful of silent generals to join a ‘war from within’ - The Washington Post

And there’s the issue of masks. This Court has listened carefully to the reasons given by Öztürk’s captors for maskingup and has heard the same reasons advanced by the defendant Todd Lyons, Acting Director of ICE. It rejects this testimony as disingenuous, squalid and dishonorable. ICE goes masked for a single reason -- to terrorize Americans into quiescence. Small wonder ICE often seems to need our respected military to guard them as they go about implementing our immigration laws. It should be noted that our troops do not ordinarily wear masks. Can you imagine a masked marine? It is a matter of honor -- and honor still matters. To us, masks are associated with cowardly desperados and the despised Ku Klux Klan. In all our history we have never tolerated an armed masked secret police. Carrying on in this fashion, ICE brings indelible obloquy to this administration and everyone who works in it. “We can not escape history,” Lincoln righty said. “[It] will light us down in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation.” Abraham Lincoln, Second Annual Message to Congress (Dec. 1, 1862).

Judge Young launches into a tirade against ICE; Acting Director Lyons' testimony was "disingenuous, squalid and dishonorable," that "ICE goes masked for a single reason — to terrorize Americans into quiescence," and that "ICE brings indelible [disgrace] to this admin[] and everyone who works in it."
