I want to be excited for this BCS season so badly, but Bang Dream being the unquestionable best deck in the game is really putting a damper on my motivation.

I can't point to a single game of modern weiss where healing at 3 was the main factor of either player's victory

Even "defensive" decks pack cheap extra damage at level 3 now.
Games also go faster due to efficient 0s, so you rarely have time to compress well enough to not eat 7 in the endgame

Finishers that heal have always irked me due to the effect serving no purpose if the other effect is "I'm trying to win the game right now!"

But they do now more so than ever because healing at level 3 in a MAJORITY of games does not alter the outcome at all.

Weiss Schwarz Rose is potentially the best thing to happen to the 'base' game.

Not because I'm excited for the types of titles they're releasing to the game.

But specifically because the game will be separating the types of titles that make me want to STOP playing weiss

Being a consistent top 8 player in any game is still a huge achievement, and I rarely see anyone acknowledge the players that reach that point more times than not, but haven't managed to crack top 3 yet

Instead, the focus is always on the invite-holders at BCS. I'm not entirely sure why that is

Something I've noticed in Weiss that I haven't noticed in other competitive games is the heavy community emphasis on 1st-3rd place.

Most other games place player respect on the full top 8/16. But in weiss, I rarely hear about anyone beyond the top 3.
