9 books from the WVGS collection for the state of Georgia with an 1895 county map that has county label from colonial times.

I was there yesterday looking for books in the collection that may be of help to someone with ancestors in colonial/revolutionary Georgia. And yes I did find some good stuff. Here's a peek

I was eight, it was a book called Hathaway's of America. I spent two weeks with it in the library during recess as my librarian explained the numbering. I was able to see back to my 11th great grandfather. Been hooked ever since.

So excited to be part of this committee. We would love to hear from folks in the community. What kind of genealogy programs would bring you into the library?

Chicken and dumplings!! As a child I would ask Grandma and mom to make it. Now my grandbabies ask me to make it for special occasions.

When I was 8 years old my father showed me a book he had purchased. "Hathaway's of America" he was in it and he told me I would be in the 1980 supplement. My mom saw my excitement and told me about a great aunt who was a Civil War Spy. I was hooked! I can't get enough.

I like this idea. Health and disability keep many of us out of archives and searching for digital records. Can't wait to see what you create.
