My health has been improving, so I think I'm going to be able to come back to WoW! I'm so happy and looking forward to this. I have missed my game so much.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure has been helping me along my health healing journey, and today's new event looks like so much fun. I can't wait to log on later. I don't know what I wiuld have done without this game coming at just the right time.

Every day I have been trying to stay informed about our current events. And everyday I have been trying to find what brings me joy, so I can get through my day. Games and reading help me with this. RPGs like Dragon Quest and Otome games. Below is a sample of otome joy, which made me giggle a lot.

We remain in the ring until far right extremism has been completely and totally knocked out.

The goal is to overwhelm us so we give up. Don't do that!

For me this means working on the Diablo 3 Darkening of Tristram event on my Switch and preparing for the D3 season this week. It means reading romance and enjoying the HEA. It means eating in a healthy way and hydrating too.

Right now we need to keep up our strength. We need to administer self-care to ourselves too so we can keep on moving forward. Whatever beneficial ways feed you and recharge your spirit, focus on those as you need to.

Which brings me to the point: in a time of crisis, people need the arts. The arts both help us escape, and to confront uncomfortable things. No book or album is going to solve everyone’s problems. That’s not what they’re for. If they can get us to keep going, then they’re magic. This is also why I’m increasingly disdaining gatekeeping in genre fiction. Dark fiction isn’t defeatist, and cozy fiction isn’t denial, and literary fiction isn’t empty. If it doesn’t work for you, leave it to the people it’s helping, and reach for the next thing.

Also, I won't be quiet while my rights as a woman, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a minority come under attack. I'll stand up with others to defend and support. We deserve the rights that have been fought for. This is a safe space for those who stand up for our rights.

Like everybody else, I'm disgusted and rage-filled and sick and tired and afraid for everyone. I don't know what to do, it feels endless and exhausting. But at some point it will be time to go into "we're not trapped in here with them, they're trapped in here with us" mode.
