@governorwalz.mn.gov: "The road to authoritarianism is littered with people telling you you're overreacting."
That's an answer to a different question.
(Listened from Oman using Saily - which I found about from Fish, which is nice)
@andrewhunterm.bsky.social Just listened to No Such Thing as a Fish 587.
No biplanes in WWII?! The Royal Navy ended the involvement of the Italian Navy in the Med with Fairey Swordfish biplane torpedo bombers in Nov. 1940.
In May 1941, Swordfish sank the Bismarck.

They are. The one destroyed by the lack of the other. But nobody planned for that.
Historically, a sane administration and a strong alliance.
Who? Lockheed-Martin? Or the US Government? The former wouldn't; the latter couldn't.
If they did, nobody would buy them. And they're not made by the US Government, they're made by a commercial company.
And most of this stuff isn't just US. Rolls Royce, BAe are involved.
However, 5th generation fighters are essentially computers with wings, so they could withhold software updates.
Fake news. Dumpster's not on fire.
🔴Joining the EU Single Market Could Be the Gamechanger for Keir Starmer’s Government
The UK economy and the new Labour Government needs an urgent shot in the arm. Could this be the solution?

Elon Musk: Supervillain
I think the 2010 bounce was to do with the Tories talking the country down into a triple-dip recession and punishing ordinary people for the consequences of market deregulation, which they wholeheartedly supported.
So, Space Karen persuaded a court to rule that he was a founder of Tesla, despite not in any way being involved in the founding of Tesla because... cash. When will he tell Drumpf's Supreme Court to rule that he was one of America's Founding Fathers? He paid enough for the Presidency, after all...
The ear's looking remarkably good.
It's a terrible argument. People don't know the cost of producing things. All of their perception of what high & low prices are is set by the retailers. They decided that milk should be sold at below (farmers') cost & at very low margins for themselves. It wasn't customer driven. But they blame us.
From 2014, wonder whatever happened to this Farage guy who was criticised by families of survivors for politicising the grooming gangs?
One of instagators of the far right riots has just been sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison
Thanks go to @hopenothate.org.uk 🙏🏼
Shame he's backing the tax-dodging famers, but can't fault him here.
The Elon Musk saga has exposed Reform’s soft underbelly
Nigel Farage's willing association with fringe and extreme actors makes it easier for opponents to admonish Reform as fringe and extreme

I'm 58 and I'm fully aware of how much easier it was in the past. Even by 1989 when we bought our first flat it was spectacularly more difficult than when my parents did in the 1970s. Today it's off the scale.
The ideal was that you didn't want to pay (less) tax to the British government (than people in Britain did). That was it. Everything else is propaganda to justify treason and terrorism. Water under the bridge - 250 years is a long time - but don't pretend it was about ideals.
It's a big space with lots of resources. That's it. There's nothing special about the country or the people or the quasi-religious constitution.
