I live in Tennessee, which just won a SCOTUS case banning gender affirming care for minors. The likelihood of my voice (or anyone else's that isn't attached to a 7 figure donation) having any impact on Blackburn or Hagerty is less than zero.

Veterans are not a monolith. Yes, a large portion of vets vote GOP based on a false perception that the GOP is more supportive of the military and veterans. But that's not everyone. Many, MANY vets are Democrats. I'm married to one & know quite a lot of others in my family.

Exactly. There are decades of actual scientific/medical research on autism that have not successfully pinpointed a specific cause, but a bunch of people who don't believe in the practice of medicine or in science are going to come up with a cause in mere months? Pffft.

Every word of this. I know that Trump seems untouchable, given the SCOTUS immunity ruling, but his underlings are decidedly NOT immune. Haul their asses into court and jail them for contempt if they don't bring answers.

Dad died of a massive coronary at age 42. Mom had some insurance money from him on top of SS & VA & her dad gave $5K for a downpayment on a house - her inheritance, basically. We weren't poor but was a lot of bill juggling & frugal spending that only got worse when brother started college.

At least one parent, in fact, not necessarily both. I received SS survivor's benefits until I turned 18 because my dad died when I was 9. He was a WWII vet, so I got a small stipend from the VA until I was 23 while I attended college.
