Here's a video I made about artist James M. Triggs (1924–1992), who is best known for his amazingly photorealistic paintings of guns for firearm-related periodicals and men's adventure magazines. It's based on the article I wrote about him for my MensPulpMags.com blog. I used CapCut to make it.

Here's a new blog post I wrote about James Triggs, the Grandmaster of Gun Art. I first became fascinated with him when I realized his amazing exploded view gun painting on the cover of TRUE, August 1956 is the Colt Python revolver that Rick Grimes (actor Andrew Lincoln) carries in THE WALKING DEAD.

The cover of ARGOSY, May 1959 features one of the amazing trompe l'oeil gun paintings by James Triggs, the grandmaster of gun art. It's a flintlock of the type used by American Navy officers like John Paul Jones. (Scan via the Men's Adventure Magazines Facebook Group-> bit.ly/mensadventureFB.)

Norm Eastman is best known for his men's adventure magazine cover art. But he also did covers for other types of mags, like the Western history magazine FRONTIER WEST.
