I love this heartbreaking horrifying piece too, Jaime. It's a story that we need to hear more than ever these days, and your take on it is very effective.

This makes me so happy. It's always lovely when people appreciate something you have written, but when it's for the exact effect you were trying very hard to create - and you weren't sure would land - it's particularly satisfying.

It absolutely did! I consider it a massive massive compliment that this has impact but that impact is hiding in the negative space. That was exactly the intention, so you couldn't have given me a better reassurance

Anne, I’m so appreciative of you buying the magazine and so glad the story connected. It’s one of those stories that technically isn’t autobiographical (none of those characters existed, none of those events happened) yet totally is.
