Spotify began as a "get sued then negotiate" model then big corps got a piece. It takes hundreds of millions of plays on tons o' songs to make a living from it. Nevertheless, after 40+ years as recording artist, this is my best year (reach-wise) so far. And Spotify helps. Thank you for listening!

Pre T-day photo as a nod to upcoming Roots & Rhythm (2.04.25). Me and manager Bill Graham, backstage at Fillmore. He's wondering, what's so funny? "That's the worst performance I've ever seenβ€”and do something about that sweat." Music is hard. Book preorder avail now, everywhere.

Well there's always that possibility. I was just with him twice over the last few weeks and perhaps some dust from his enormous talent touched my hand and heart. Stranger things have happened! Mako stands tall with humility.

As do I, though mostly Ireland and England. I've just recently found out that my oldest male relative (via Y-DNA) is actually a Milliken and not an Ashworth. My West African ancestry is from a series of great-grandmothers. I tell a bit of this story in the upcoming book.
