Circe and Sundeipne being adoptive siblings underscores how Sundeipne has truly been accepted into the family, no longer treated as an outsider. Having spent most of their life not knowing what a sister even is, having one now is all the more strange and precious.

Circe and Medea are related, but it took Circe 80 pages of comic before ever once referring to Medea as 'mom'. It implies a lot - they were once closer, had a falling out, and are now slowly starting to respect each other again. A whole history, condensed into that one word taking so long to show up
