But overall I think I enjoyed it, and some of the new abilities were fun. We all had larger tableaus than in our previous game. I think that's probably a result of the Echoes stuff?

Finally got a chance to try an expansion for Innovation - we tried out Echoes of the Past in a 4p team game. I'm not sure for people who don't really know the ins and outs of the base game that it made a significant difference (no new players, but no super experienced players either).

The Hatch green chile ramen at Tatsuya was quite good. I think good ol' spicy miso is still my favorite there but it was a nice change of pace.

Yeah, I can't believe the prices it goes for now. I'm vaguely reminded of how the Bruges expansion went for like $300 or something obscene for a while.

Got to play my first 18xx in a couple years this weekend, 18NewEngland. The start of the game was a little slow but some neat stuff happened once we got past the initial rounds and got to phase 3. Not sure I have a final opinion on it yet.

Going to try out Friedmann Friese's Findorff tomorrow evening with friends. After reading the rules I'm excited, it sounds like a very focused game. I like point salads just fine but a euro focused around one primary scoring goal is almost a novelty at this point in time.

Been trying to hit (just proverbially) the exercise bike again a few times a week. Been using the time to read through some of my comics. Only ones in TPB form though, not omnibuses. My arms would fall off.

Have been reading James Tynion's Detective Comics run. Good biking material.

Went to see Barbie last night, overall really enjoyed it. It's going to be hard for the oncoming wave of "IF YOU LIKED <nostalgic thing> YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS" movies to actually match the quality level.

Started reading Secret Warriors by Hickman. Haven't dug into a new comics omnibus in a little bit (been reading mostly some other smaller stories), so that's been fun. #comics
