Itโ€™s not free but I think Carrd is best value for (relatively little) money and you can get your own domain (domain is extra).

Otherwiseโ€ฆ you can get by with a portfolio hosted on Cara or Behance. Still better than social media accounts, IMO.

What FREE online illustrator portfolio options are people using in 2026? Wix still a good option? #kidlit #illustration

Tomorrow! #KidLitArtPostcard day! This June marks the 5th anniversary of the event. I'm cooking up some fun ideas to celebrate, starting with a logo refresh. I can't wait to see everyone's art! Be sure to triple check your hashtag!!!! #kidlit

I have become so mad that the most fictional part of this movie is when the public hear Oswald talking shit about them, they all desert him. Apparently in reality they just vote for him even more ๐Ÿ™„

TOPIC: Guess what? It's time for another quarterly check-in . . . already! Share what you've accomplished in the past three months: baby steps, or giant leaps, full landings or near misses . . . celebrate whatever has carried you FORWARD. #kidlitchat

Artists! I am looking for a Jewish illustrator for a middle-grade project focusing on Jewish history, practice, and culture. If your style feels fun, MG-appropriate, and both editorial & narrative, please drop a link or DM! (And editor & agent friends, if you have someone to rec, it's appreciated!)

Literary fiction is probably the best existing category. But it's pretty broad so quite often I'm not interested... yet I guess the ones I do like would probably all fall under that category.

So maybe a sub-section of literary fiction? IDK what though ๐Ÿ˜…

โ€˜Nothing muchโ€™ as in, nothing dramatic. No giant swooning romance, no huge explosions & chases, no 300 pages of anxiety coz the murderer is in the houseโ€ฆ

But actually a lot happens, it just happens quietly and indirectly.

03.03.2026 19:04 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 6    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

There should be a category for novels like โ€˜stories where it seems nothing much happensโ€™ coz I think maybe those are the kinds of novels I tend to like.

I donโ€™t really like the trend but Iโ€™m also not sure I understand how this gives them a lot to work with? Did you mean like with a image generator? Everyone posting hasnโ€™t been a kid for a long time so, in a sense, I canโ€™t see them at direct risk otherwise.

In Singapore, the festival is known as Chap Goh Mei. I am told โ€˜chap gohโ€™ means 15, as it is the 15th day of the new lunar year.

Interestingly it is also considered Chinese Valentines Day, and I spent 27 years in SG totally not knowing this ๐Ÿ˜…

Moby Dick was actually also just The Whale.

Although from what my husband told me of the plot (he just read it), perhaps it should have been โ€˜an assortment of New England whaling facts and statistics, also featuring a white whale and a dude with OCDโ€™

Amy wishes everyone a happy Lantern Festival ๐Ÿฎ!

This festival marks the end of the Lunar New Year celebrations, and features (you guessed it) lanterns & eating sweet rice balls called tang yuan.

Yeah I kinda thought it was something close to withering, but oh well.

This is like when I learned what โ€˜corrugatedโ€™ meant and it was less cool than what I imagined it to be (I canโ€™t recall what I previously thought it was though).

So I looked it up.

Itโ€ฆ just means windy ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ

They go straight to my spam folder so I donโ€™t see them anymore. But occasionally I do check the folder and see them there, so I guess itโ€™s still going round, like a chain letter that wonโ€™t die.
