Lately, Musk has been trying to claim that Tesla doesn't rely on teleoperation for its Optimus demo. He explicitly claimed so for the Tron premiere demo and in the kung-fu demo posted to socials:

Tesla has been using VR headsets to train the robots and do remote control.

This is suspicious as hell. It was reportedly recorded at Tesla's 'Autonomy Visualized' in Miami this weekend and posted to Reddit.

Optimus falls as if it is removing a VR headset – pointing to human teleoperation.

I think the rest of the world should learn from this. Instead of pouring capital into meme coins and made-up stores of value, we should invest in electricity generation and storage.

They are going to let the rest of the world hold the crypto bag while they have more electricity generation than anyone to power their industries, which are already taking over the world.

And I think China has figured this out, as evidenced by its new electricity generation surpassing the rest of the world combined and by its ban on cryptocurrency.

If electricity is the backbone of global trade and the metric of productivity, the kWh ultimately becomes the real currency of a truly electrified world.

The petro-dollar is dead. Long live the electro-dollar.

3- Elon already has full control over Tesla. Can you think of a single instance in the last 20 years of Tesla where Elon didn't get his way? He even got caught with securities fraud by the SEC and was allowed to remain CEO and install a puppet chairperson to replace him on the board.

2- Why is delivering unsupervised self-driving in consumer vehicles as promised and sold for almost a decade not a milestone in the package? Instead, there are more vague milestones like FSD subscription and robotaxis, which are problematic since they both don't require reaching unsupervised levels.

Elon Musk is not leaving Tesla, but he is using the threat as blackmail Elon Musk and Tesla’s board keep repeating the threat that the CEO will leave if shareholders don’t approve his ridiculous...

I made a few points in this article that I think are important:

1- Elon is the one forcing this all-or-nothing compensation plan. "You don't want him to get paid" is not a valid argument.

What I find particularly funny about this post is that the account is setup as if it’s Optimus responding, but you know a human wrote it.

Just like all of Optimus’ public demos so far, it’s a human trying to pass as a robot.

It's hard work though. I just checked today and I wrote 13,463 articles at Electrek over 10 years. That's an average of 3.7 articles per day, including the weekends, no days off.

That's nuts.

That's not an accurate representation. I've become increasingly negative on Musk in 2019. That's when he called me "anti-Tesla", which I clearly wasnt to be fair. I started turning on sour on Elon, not Tesla yet -just some of his moves at Tesla.

The Roadster wasn't even supposed to come until 2020.

I'm writing factual articles about him. I ain't slashing his tires.

I tried to build a clear timeline of Musk's attempts to gain complete control over AI.

He went from trying to do it at OpenAI, then Tesla, and now xAI.

Kimbal Musk, Elon's brother and Tesla board member/puppet, basically just called Trump a "retard".

I bet the Trump/Elon fallout is ahead of schedule.

What product? Energy? maybe, it's the only product growing, but it still doesn't justify a $900 billion valuation when EV deliveries are plunging and self-driving has become a liability since it can't deliver level 5 as promised on millions of vehicles.

Elon joins the US gov, Tesla surge, Elon leaves the US gov, $TSLA surge. It doesn't make sense. It's a meme stock.

I think Tesla has become a complete meme stock, and its value almost entirely hinges on people believing Elon Musk is a super genius and not a compulsive liar despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Even the most pessimistic analysts didn't expect 336k deliveries - 50,000 units fewer than last year.

The giant miss would point to especially bad performance in the US since we have pretty good visibility in Europe and China.

The biggest irony is that Musk was pushing those baseless claims of people getting paid to attend Tesla protests, while he was himself at a rally he organized to promote the Republican Candidate for Wisconsin Supreme Court where he was financially incentivizing people to attend.
