Giving strawberries and garlic on the deck planters another go this year, this time with mesh netting to stop our cats from digging them up (we, left one planter full of grass for them to play in).

The cherry tree we planted in the backyard is finally doing well and in bloom this year!

Couldn't figure out why our gifted rhodo was looking so unhappy this spring until we tested the soil pH - 3.1! WAY too acidic (rhodos thrive in 4.5-6.0) - trying to repair now with dolomitic lime...

A brief 48 hours in Singapore with relatives, friends, and so much great food.

Ugh who knew that a few extra sets of seated leg extensions at the gym could lead to a fractured patella (kneecap) and a micro-tear of my quadriceps tendon. I guess Geoff will be washing my feet and putting on my glass slippers for the next while! 👠😄

Flipped the USA strawberries option upside down to alert others to go for the Mexico ones that are on sale at our local grocer (Superstore)

Just had to deplane our flight in Toronto for Halifax as they just grounded all flights for this. Yikes! Hope everyone is ok.

Upcoming Nauticus event: Saturday, April 12, 2025!

The location at the pier we actually found easier to access than the old location and the car lot plugin was a plus. They accommodated low carb substitutions (ie grilled vegetables for potato), scallops were sauteed perfectly, and their steak was almost always perfectly cooked. We will miss them!

We followed Chianti from their old location to their new location, and just had a fantastic dinner there this week. It was one of our go-to's and we will definitely miss it.

Yeah we are surprised at how much we like it! This final season is really great so far (we are 2/3rds of the way through)

We watched this last night with low expectations based on early reviews. It was enjoyable for the 90mins but yeah the writing really wasn't up to par for Star Trek, and missing the usual tie-ins with the original series. We actually enjoyed the episode of STrek Lower Decks we watched after, more.

Agreed. I wish FB wasn't the only platform with a good/working event invite platform...

We decided to keep our FB/IG accounts active just for now for the connections and event/invite info, but are minimizing non-informational posts there. Moving all our personal posts here knowing the decentralized nature of the plaform should prevent the likes of Musk/Zuckerberg from ever owning it.
