Yes of course. I just mean that I wouldn’t expect it to be allowed. On the other hand I am surprised that the string isn’t sanitized. 🤷‍♂️

The shuffle button??? 🤯
Is it to let the player choose whether or not to shuffle where it would currently autoshuffle? That would be neat.👍

Yeah, that might be a sufficiently important use case.

I just sense that the technical sophistication of the lower level support seems too great to have been added “just” for that.

Nevertheless, it does seem to potentially open up wild possibilities for visionsOS interop with the other platforms.

Yeah, I don’t expect it to be that interesting by itself for general “visionOS app development”. But I am wondering about what this feature is signaling wrt. future use cases and strategic directions from Apples side. 🤔

Xcode 26 beta straight up crashes when loading my project. I’ve tried deleting targets etc. to make it simpler, but it still crashes.

This makes it difficult to provide useful feedback, but I’ll try anyway.

I think this approach will still “flash the rom” on the machine (or whatever it’s called these days), so I guess it’s not 100% safe…

I did that last year with the Sequoia beta. I don’t remember exactly how, but I started making a partition and installed the then-current OS which I then updated to the beta via the Settings systems update menus.

Uhm.. So macOS and visionOS 26 will support using a Mac to render an immersive scene (with Metal) on a connected visionOS device.

This is not a trivial connection!

This suggests the same will be possible for RealityViews.

Is this prep for a cheaper headset???

Did I get this right? Did Apple’s presentation just show an example of an app using their on-device AI to generate a travel plan for a visit to Grand Canyon?

Initiatives bringing visionOS closer to consumers are more than welcome. And so are news about a more “macOS-like” system for iPad.

Personally my fingers are crossed for gaze optimized rendering with Metal. But that would at most be hinted at in a word cloud during State of the Union.

The “space in the display” would need to be shown in front of the display for the pencil to be able to poke around in it. Otherwise I would end up stabbing my display 😆

I have been wondering what the game would feel like on a larger board eg 5x5. Or if starting with a board without blank squares, with the ability to spend a move to decrease a tile value by one to enable clearing “stuck” states instead of shuffling.

How about auto-play when only 1-tiles remain?
