Either way, it feels like a huge part of myself has been violently cut off, and I’m still in shock that it’s missing. It hasn’t even been 24 hours yet. I’ll be fine, this is for the best, but man is it going to suck. I miss him already.

After two and a half tumultuous years I finally decided to break it off with my partner. I regret the decision already even if I know it’s the right one. Maybe it will stick this time, unlike the two other times we’ve broken up. Maybe it won’t, and we’ll end up back together in six months.

My theory is that the Apple execs were unhappy with how badly they were behind in the AI department and wanted a big new feature to debut. So they got the design team to pump out whatever they could in the span of eight months and Liquid Glass is the result.
