While it hurts so much to have such a great man leave this world, I find myself smiling at the thought of President Carter no longer encumbered by the challenges of old age spotting his beloved Rosalynn and once more running into her arms to finally spend eternity together.
While his presidency was not the best, what President Carter did after he left office will forever stand the test of time as one of the greatest, if not the greatest post-presidential life that has ever been lived.
No matter what he experienced, President Jimmy Carter never faltered and throughout his life held fast to his values of honesty, hard work, and service above self.
From the highest of highs like meeting falling in love with and marrying the love of his life Rosalynn, to what had to be an extremely low point of watching his presidency, the thing that he had worked hard to achieve fall apart before his eyes.
President Jimmy Carter was one such person . When I think about the things that a human being would see in 100 years on this Earth, it's almost incomprehensible. Jimmy Carter however took all 100 years in stride and made the most of every single second.
In the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" they mention the old adage that every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings. While I love that sentiment. I do believe that there are people that have walked this Earth that have already earned their wings before they become angels.
This man is going to have the largest commissary account in the state.
