We are taking steps to help our wetlands become more resilient and adaptable to climate change. This will enable them to continue to support a wide range of species throughout changing weather systems.

Would be great if someone could put out a gannet cd - maybe add a bit of background guitar or something.
Thank you so much Sarah ๐

A group of House Sparrows dust bathing in the soil by the olive tree. Dirt all over the path. Then they descended on the bird bath and turned it into a mud bath.
Here's one I helped save earlier this spring

10.08.2025 06:46 โ ๐ 103 ๐ 18 ๐ฌ 10 ๐ 2I guess so. The local House Sparrows start behaviour after a Sparrowhawk's taken one. After a few days they forget and sit on top of the hedge again. I've been reading about urban birds exhibiting a reduced fear response towards aerial predators. I wonder if they stay high to avoid the local cats.

The news that the traditional guga hunt had been approved to return later this year gained significant media coverage & raised public awareness of this archaic practice.

This is predicted to be one of the most damaging windfarms for birds we are aware of anywhere on the planet.
We support nature positive offshore wind, but this isnโt it. Itโs a disaster in the making.
Said our farewells to conservation and birding legend Tony Marr. Founder of the @sussexornitholo.bsky.social Council member of @rspb.bsky.social and key figure in the BOU. He was also the driving force behind the succesful campaign to protect Pagham and Rye Harbour as nature reserves. RIP
