I’ve been following her since she was first elected to Congress. She made some mistakes early on, but learned fast, and is a lot more savvy today. Her energy, determination, integrity, sense of humor, and optimism give me hope.

Many would laugh at that list and say that it will never happen, even with a Democratic majority, but I think that we’re beyond small adjustments and fixes on the margins. We need to make significant changes to save democracy in America.

Unfortunately, because of this indictment, she may have to abstain from any direct involvement in any future legal action against Trump.

This is the disadvantage of people who are honorable and who respect laws and norms, vs Trump and his cronies who don’t.

I disagree that elections don’t affect them, because a successful election would increase the likelihood of implementing the actions that I listed above.

This is why there’s so much fuss about Mamdani. He isn’t controlled by the oligarchs and his agenda is pro-people, which terrifies them.
