I was curious to see how academic articles in (Political) Communication and Political Science are being shared on X vs. Bluesky.
I find: In 2024, academic articles in our field seem to be clearly more shared on X. But by 2025, Bluesky is catching up fast.

We all know the amazing work of Weber and De Sio on ‘Issue Yield’. But few use it concretely beyond the appealing logic of bridge issue to cater to core & potential voters. I provide a simpler & more applicable way forward on this logic by using a split in issue ownership to select campaign issue👇🏼

Citizens’ engagement on politicians’ own social media shapes not just what politicians talk about—but also what they act on. 🤳🏻💥 We show how interacting with politicians' posts increases the likelihood of real legislative action by those same politicians. doi.org/10.1177/1065...

Some papers are a long time in the making. This one, written with the excellent @iguinaudeau.bsky.social, took long and I am incredibly grad to see it published. 1/8 journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

Trump’s 2024 cabinet picks are extremely conservative. Despite media claims floating around about ideological diversity, the extreme right has a much firmer grip on his administration than in 2016.(1/n)
