I think they say more about the care put into the stories behind the characters than the skins in-game on their own. Like how Heartsteel is a whole band and their art will portray that but not as much as the in-game model if you solo-q. Also I can see Phel's face in the splash art not on the rift.

I think adc is objectively never the lane you should fight for. If an adc gets fed then you just target them and the entire problem is gone. A top that isnt even winning lane can handle a fed adc. You should always protect adc but never focus on making sure they win lane over others imo
