What a nifty field unit, I hope have an Aircon. I have just been checking the latest "Deep Creek Fire, now totals approximately 4,200 hectares with a perimeter of 60 kilometres." What great work you are doing to assist wildlife and other animals thank you, take care. I will be making a donation.

In VIC we swelted at 43C+ for a few days in air full of smoke. Taking food & water out to the wildlife but otherwise staying inside. Friends had a close call and some businesses we use have been devastated by fire. Luckily the winds have died down and the fires are being brought under control 🀞

Thank you Tigger. Interesting article on the history of the calendar and seasons. In Victoria, Australia we have 6 seasons.

I understand where you are coming from it can be addictive. I enjoy your updates as I also do it (and connection/strands) and my green squares often differ wildly from yours.

You might as well have a stroll once you are out there - especially when someone has kindly lit the area up to explore and check who has passed through since you were last out.

πŸ”₯🦴from looking at those photos you deserve warm chicken treats and a whisked egg warm toddy along with warm towels waiting for you at the car. Well done 🦴πŸ”₯

We have a nest by our letterbox - known as bull ants in VIC. Nasty bite once when gardening - the pain lasted for days. I don't do much gardening in that area any more!
