A loud yawn escaped the swordsman as he woke on the deck of the Sunny. His steel gaze slowly opened as he scratched the back of his neck, still sleepy and not ready to get up. For a moment his haki flared to life to check his surroundings, but he relaxed back against the ship when he found nothing -

Hands roamed down over her arms to take her hands, pressing one more kiss to her neck before pulling her toward the library. “Somethin’ like that, yeah.”

Grunting against her skin, his warm breath settled over the curve of her neck. “Wanna go read?”

Tugs @demonhistorian.bsky.social to his broad chest, moving her hair from her neck so he can dip his head to press a kiss beneath her ear.

- on. “What’s it to ya?”

- fingers loosened on his sword, brow lifting as he allowed his haki to fade. In the man’s stance he could see a reflection of himself in ways - someone who had been through a lot and come out the other side. Unfortunately for him, Zoro didn’t open up so easily.

“Maybe a bit of both,” he settled -

- lay eyes on him, not at all seeing what he expected. Instead of a large commanding form with muscle and strength, there stood a man who many could consider unassuming. Handsome and dark haired, curiosity curled along the edges of darkness without any sort of danger he could sense.

Calloused -

Pausing where he was, fingers curled around be hilt of Sandai at his waist, more at the presence than the voice. His haki curled around Zoro but unseen to others, taking in the powerful aura of the man speaking, strength radiating in waves unfamiliar to the swordsman.

Slowly he turned to -

- anyone familiar…but no one needed to be on the ship.

With a sigh, he left the kitchen and pulled his sword from her spot, rushing over to the man and holding the edge of the blade to the back of his shoulders. “Goin’ somewhere?”

- nearby. Brows pulling together in annoyance, he glared at the doorway behind him even though there was no one there as if that would scare off whoever it was.

One hand on his sword Sandai, he let his haki move out from him to roam over the form not too far from the room he was in. It wasn’t -

As soon as everyone left, Zoro headed into the kitchen to scrounge through the left overs from the night before. Without the cook there, he could help himself to that…or the secret stash of sake.

But he didn’t get fat in his rummaging before he heard the floorboards of the Sunny creaking -

- head, glancing up at Buggy. “She’s gonna have the sea under her boots, takin’ after the two of ya.”

Bouncing her carefully, keeping her close to him and wrapped safely in large arms, he couldn’t take his eye off her. Or his smile from fading. So small, a piece of
him that would be leaving sooner than he was ready for.

“Damn, don’t wanna think that far ahead.” He grumbled and shook his -

- character. “Nah, m’a pirate. Landed here a couple days ago…I think…”

Looking around, he frowned, brow pulling together as he saw nothing familiar. “What d’you do around here?”

He yawned loudly and scratched the back of his neck, ruffling mossy hair back and forth as he considered answering the guy’s question. It wasn’t best to tell the stranger everything but he could humor some of it. He seemed nice enough, and Zoro considered himself a good judge of -

Hell yeah.

Make me a plate.

- Hearing the crew outside for breakfast made his chest swell with pride.

This was home.

Attention returning to Robin, he tilted his head curiously. “What d’ya want us to be?”

- had been building over time, stolen kisses and caresses, cuddled warmth over books and teasing glances, he hadn’t stopped to think about what it could be.

He pushed off the counter and moved to place his hands on her knees, opening them up for him so he could slot himself between them. -

- to become the world’s greatest swordsman. Any sexual encounters had been spur of the moment or a desire that he held at bay until he couldn’t stand it anymore and went to a brothel. Hell, he didn’t even have an example of what that could look like.

Even though things between Robin and himself -

- help his crew free the people of Wano and move on to their next destination. What was he supposed to do after that, yearn for a woman he may never return to? Or didn’t make sense for either of them to go through that.

He’d never been in a relationship either, too focused on his goal -

Romantic relationships weren’t something he put much stock in. It wasn’t that Zoro was against them in any way, he just had other things that kept his attention. Even when Hiyori had hit on him, he barely recognized it at first. As pretty as she was, as cunning, it wasn’t realistic. He needed to -

He didn’t move, letting Buggy sneak up on him, curious at what he would do. Smirk growing on his lips, he turned to tug playfully on the clown’s hair. “Hey Bugs.”
