My view for the next week. Thank heavens for people who rent out their cottage so folks like us can have a dreamy, shvitzy break for a week. #ohCanada #soHot #lakeSoCool

Probably good to get the test just in case. Be safe, J!

I've told M to wake me if I snore, but he hasn't yet. My sleep is not yet quite normal, but the waking-up-gasping hasn't returned. I am wearing my ๐Ÿwatch to track sleep quality as well. I don't quite believe I'm done with cpap, tho. We'll see!

I wish I could afford Zepbound. Good for you!

Saxenda is helping me keep the weight off but I know Iโ€™d walk easier, longer, with more gone.

I have hope that prices will decrease one day.

I had a very thick neck 70 lbs ago. I think reducing it helped a lot.

I do have an unnaturally large tongue ๐Ÿ˜ณ, and if Hub notifies me snoring, we will have to revisit CPAP.

WOW. I need Durolane in each knee joint to be able to walk, but I'll take it! Getting 70lbs off has helped my knees so much. I am hoping for generic Ozempic to come to Canada in '26 (their patent protection expired here and they forgot to renew it! hahahahahahahah). Saxenda helps but not enough.

I've returned to playing Fortnite, which I haven't touched in more than a year. For me Fortnite = intense dissociation for a little while.

I really wish my family lived anywhere but the US right now.

These two thoughts are connected.

We'll see how it goes. After 11 years of nightly usage, I'm very used to having a hose running off the top of my head and that going to sleep is a bit of a faff, getting everything in place.

But if I really get to continue to sleep unaided, what a magical thing.

Thank you, GLP1s.

Three days ago, sleep doc gave me the results of my latest sleep test: I am now borderline for Apnea treatment. So he said I could stop using my CPAP.

First night was H.A.R.D. I'd trained myself to feel safe with mask on. Second night I had a little help from an edible. I'm not waking up gasping.

So actually I was right - I need to add 6 rows.

05.07.2025 00:05 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Pattern gauge is 30 rows to 4โ€so 60 rows.

Coming to you next week!

04.07.2025 23:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Difference is 0.73 rows per inch.

Iโ€™ve done this before, successfully. But today I canโ€™t figure out what to multiply with what to get the answer.

Or can I? Is it length x .73? So if 8โ€ in original pattern, add 6 rows?

04.07.2025 23:37 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 6    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Embarrassing.
My ND brain is not braining today.

32-row swatch was 4.25โ€ tall before washing/drying; 3.875โ€ after.

So 7.53 rows/inch before
8.26 after.

Need to calculate how much more length to add to get the correct finished length throughout pattern after washing.

Cannot compute. ๐Ÿงถ

A grid of 9 photos showing sweaters in a variety of multicoloured styles. Featuring rectangles of intarsia color, a thick shawl-collared cardigan in stripes that change color abruptly mid-row, a pullover of multicoloured granny squares in a beige background base, a striped super-cropped pullover, a weird mohair thingy with different areas of color, a wide-striped ribbed pullover with a wide cable in the middle that messes up the stripes intentionally, a pullover in crocheted stripes, intarsia motifs in horizontal stripes on a pullover and another pullover with interrupted stripes.

Clapotisfest emails have resumed just now. I didn't realize it had been since FRICKING APRIL since I last wrote someone, and worst of all, had received someone's pick and didn't have the spoons to forward it on to the dyer till now.

I'm so sorry, y'all.

Back on the horse.

Slop Farmer Boasts About How He Uses AI to Flood Social Media With Garbage to Trick Older Women Pinterest is facing an influx of AI slop designed to attract users to synthetic websites. Here's a glimpse into their tactics โ€”ย and psyches.

This is how insidious AI is in our online world. As a more-than-50-something woman, I'm deeply offended by this horrid human targeting women my age, but not surprised in the least.

People, gently educate your elders so they don't fall for this garbage.

I have a sleep test tonight and have to fight the urge to nap. (I've been using my CPAP religiously since diagnosis in 2014. Wanted to know if my settings are correct since my body has changed size dramatically since the last time I was tested.)

Better go do some corrugated ribbing.
