Misneachd actually supported Calum Munro and wouldn't have stood against him had we known he was standing. I didn't even vote for myself as I had no permanent home on Skye.

"The Isle of Mists" indeed: it's hard to get a clear view of what might happen here, with all of the SNP, Lib Dems and Independents potentially in the running.
Glenrothes Central and Thornton (Fife) by-election, first preferences:
SNP: 1439 (47.6%, -1.1)
Labour: 649 (21.5%, -6.4)
Reform UK: 541 (17.9%, new)
Lib Dem: 207 (6.9%, +2.9)
Conservative: 185 (6.1%, -5.9)
SNP elected stage TBC.
Love to stay up for a result and then Bluesky falls over :))))
Christina McKelvie MSP, 1968-2025
Christina McKelvie's partner, Keith Brown, along with her sons, Lewis and Jack, are deeply saddened to announce her passing this morning at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

My thoughts are with her partner and fellow MSP Keith Brown, her family, and her friends.
This aged badly

It’s deeply unedifying to see Sturgeon’s political enemies, both inside and outside the SNP, incapable of expressing empathy for what she’s been through
