Oh, is it the machine that gives you the Good Stuff when you press the button?
I wish my hair looked this cool after 6 months without a haircut!
Today's Commute Bird (I actually saw it yesterday) is this Hooded Merganser/Pato de Cresta, possibly the goofiest-looking diving duck in nature. At the Central Park Reservoir. #birds 🪶
I saw them this morning busting some moves too!
The "gas" that makes your car run is very obviously a liquid, so I don't think it's the brits who are using the wrong word.
Good morning! Today's commute birds are these Green-Winged Teals that were already feeling like spring, the males were putting up a show 🪶 #birds
I might be going crazy but I think I just heard a warbler? From my apartment? Has this long winter finally broken my brain on its last day? #birds
Sorry to disappoint you but it actually means "Go, Department of Transportation!"
Big fan of Upupa Epops! I also love Pica Pica.
Pettings are a big part of this deal we humans have with our pets. We give them food and shelter but they could probably manage to get that by themselves. They can only get such good scratches from us.
The american baguette is too rubbery to cause any damage
Ostras qué envidia 😭 Aquí en NY seguimos cubiertos de hielo y nieve
Snow photographers: remember that your camera is most probably going to underexpose all your photos, crank up that exposure compensation!
Good morning! I did see some birds in Central Park on my way to work but today was not a bird photography day, sorry! ☃️🌨️ (also I didn't bike to work either, I just walked across the park)
Estoy hasta el gorro ya de este invierno 😩
People feed them in Central Park, stop by somewhere at the Loch in the north end of the park for a minute and titmice will come to check if you have some seeds for them!
I think I'm going to cry when I see the first warbler of the season
Today was rainy and very gloomy out at Central Park, but I managed to take a nice portrait of this male wood duck at the Azalea Pond #birds 🪶
Good morning! No biking commute today (it's too cold again) so no new birds, but here's a very nice photo I took for a female northern cardinal a couple of days ago. If any birds need social media profile pictures or author photos for their books just hit me up! #birds 🪶
Los alcatraces y esos picados son espectaculares!
Hah this morning a bald eagle flew over Central Park! I wonder if it was the same.
And then there was this hawk, a Cooper's hawk I think? #birds 🪶 (4/4)
There were also two or three red-tailed hawks. Two of them have been hanging out together, maybe a pair? Or siblings? #birds 🪶 (3/4)
I also got to see one of the two long-eared owls that are hanging out at the park, hidden behind some branches #birds 🪶 (2/4)
Today's commute through Central Park was very raptor-heavy! This bald eagle flew over the park (1/4) #birds 🪶
Today's Commute Bird was right next to home... Last year two ravens nested nearby, and it looks like they're back! Here's one of them breaking off branches from a tree. #birds 🪶
Good morning! Today's Commute Bird: a female downy woodpecker that was looking for some breakfast by the Central Park Reservoir. #birds 🪶
Buenos días y solidaridad desde NY! Estamos de ola de frío desde hace casi 2 semanas aquí y creo que voy a perder la cabeza.
Today's Commute Bird: The great blue heron that has been spending the winter in Central Park! It looks like it's thinking "I COULD BE FISHING IN BELIZE INSTEAD OF FREEZING MY BUTT ON THIS POND." #birds 🪶
