23.10.2025 17:26 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0When I lived in Madrid I rode a Dahon folding bike to the train and then to work. The shaking from the cobbled streets would loose the bolts on the bike and a couple of times the frame hinge opened mid-ride π¬ (I managed to stop safely both times)

A song sparrow skillfully posing for the camera. It's facing the camera so it looks like a plump ball with twiggy legs.
A bald eagle in flight seen from below.
Good morning! Here's one of the good photos from yesterday's Song Sparrow Photoshoot at Central Park. Also, I saw another bald eagle flying over the park! πͺΆ #birds

16.10.2025 14:17 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The problem with computer jobs is that it's all in your head. You can't touch or eat the code you write, it's too abstract. You need to find something to make with your hands if you want to stay okay

a raven spreading its wings, closing on the red-tailed hawk. The hawk is upside down, halfway through a barrel roll.
The raven is still stretching its wings and climbing. The red-tailed hawk is transitioning into a dive.
The two birds have disengaged. The raven is keeping an eye on the hawk
Also seen today at Central Park: a couple of red-tailed hawks also noticed all the migrating birds and were trying to grab some breakfast, but a raven put a stop to those shenanigans #birds πͺΆ
