Is there such a thing as reading too many books at once? I feel like this method allows me to read more books overall. Not shown here: the audio books 😳

I'm 3/4 the way through WICKED UNSEEN and...WOW! Humor, suspense, mystery, it has everything! It's so fun to read. It's also like a writing craft manual. I have many questions!

Sigh, Gone: A Misfit's Memoir of Great Books, Punk Rock, and the Fight to Fit in a book by Phuc Tran For anyone who has ever felt like they don't belong, Sigh, Gone shares an irreverent, funny, and moving tale of displacement and assimilation woven together with poignant themes from beloved works of ...

I love this memoir so much. Stumbled on it because I'm getting a tattoo with Phuc. Telling his story through the arc of the traditional American literary cannon, Phuc cracks open the "American" identity finding it stitched together with Star Wars trading card gum.

90% of parenting is reminding other people to change their underwear. Why wasn't that in the guidebook?

SpeakOut Boston has been telling LGBTQ+ stories for over 50 years changing our collective narrative one story at a time! These storytellers are fantastic. I was honored to be among everyone there.

Images of the same perfect looking strawberry, but one is sliced open to reveal is is a cake.

Last week my WIP was like this IS IT CAKE beauty. This week it's as ugly as end of business on a one-year-old's smash cake. How does that happen?

How do you move past tough spots when you can't decide what direction to take with a story?

Picture sunflower growing among herbs. Close up of small sunflower head.

Starting this feed with a sunflower growing unexpectedly in my herb box this summer. I noticed it early on, let it grow, and got so much joy watching it.

Here's to the seeds of new ideas, growing where you're planted, and finding the beauty in the process.
