A new Shannon class lifeboat has arrived at its new home at Larne RNLI on Sunday 15th February. The lifeboat arrived at 1358hrs (1.58pm) to coincide with the number on the side of the lifeboat which will be named Machiko Nancy.

Wonderful afternoon at Ballyvooney Cove, Stradbally for the unveiling of an information board to commemorate the loss of the Cirilo Amorós, wrecked at Ballyvooney in a bad storm on 15 February 1926. Well done to all involved a fabulous event and achievement.
I was delighted to attend the Tall Tales production in Faithlegg NS. Having written one of the four I have to admit I may be biased but to think of the hours of work invested by the directors, actors and all those behind the scenes to make the words come alive, I have to say I was blown away

Inshore fishermen have challenged the labelling of imported shellfish for retail sale to Irish consumers and have been told that the Oireachtas Committee on Fisheries & Maritime Affairs will pursue this.
