I've started adding this very basic logo to all my lecture slides seeing as the senior managers who don't understand what AI is are trying to force it on everyone. Feel free to re-use it.

An interesting example of increasing autonomy from the US.

Vance and Rubio said they wanted EU countries to be less dependent on the US for defence. A few months later: β€œno, not like that!”

When they appear on political tv shows, journalists and pundits should have to wear badges that say how many properties they own

Unwavering work ethic and energy made Dennis Cometti a sporting icon Dennis Cometti was known to viewers as a wordsmith who rattled off rejoinders with ease, but behind the scenes he worked harder than anyone to carve out a place in Australia's sporting landscape.

Shelly Willingham and Nasif Majeed, two other Democratic lawmakers who also joined the GOP to help pass conservative priorities (though not the specific ICE bill I'm talking about here), also lost to progressive challengers tonight.

The Feds Targeted Charlotte. Now a Local Democrat Who Helped ICE Faces Voters. - Bolts North Carolina lawmaker Carla Cunningham voted to mandate compliance with ICE, and derided immigrants on the House floor. The Democrat faces an intense March primary.

JUST IN: North Carolina's Dem lawmaker Carla Cunningham gave the GOP the decisive vote to pass a law forcing police to comply with ICE. She said "all cultures are not equal."

She just lost reelection BIG in the Dem primary to a progressive pastor & activist, Rodney Sadler. 70% to 22%!

There's been a lot of debate within the Democratic establishment about what rhetoric to use via ICE.

Well, an incumbent doesn't lose by 48 percentage points very oftenβ€”and her vote on collaborating with ICE was the defining issue here.

The Liberal Election Review contains 35 mentions of β€œLabor”, 42 of β€œALP”, but 52 of β€œteal”.

You’d assume a functional Opposition would be FAR more interested in the Government’s ~18 seat majority than ~6 members of the crossbench.

(Interesting analysis by @browne90.bsky.social below.)

Tell us again why Australia marks 'Harmony Day' instead of the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination?

We just cede our sovereignty

Interoperability in action will mean command & control reverts to the Pentagon

We'll slip in behind whatever fight they want to pick

Β‘ But on the plus side, the ALP may just nab a couple of seats in WA & SA
