I do find the MTG transformation fascinating, in a kind of twisted way. Hoping it provides an example for other Reps to follow.

The very real price is being paid since January (of course, before as well, but has accelerated). The anger is referring to all of the decisions that have been made by the Republicans (ICE, BBB, all the appointments, etc.) Health care is another chip that is now gone.
13.11.2025 07:26 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not only Trump, but also all the Republicans who supported all of the garbage they've passed. And Johnson not even swearing in a duly elected congressperson. Up there with McConnell's SCOTUS ploys. I can see both sides of the decision. Our anger must stay focused on the root cause.
12.11.2025 08:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thank you for providing some of the details and potential motivation for the vote. Can't say I agree with the choice, but I'm not receiving SNAP, though health care is certainly heading into a very dicey period no matter who you are... well maybe not Senators, Representatives and WH Staff.
11.11.2025 12:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That also means they didn't have to worry too much about the implications of their vote either way. Seems to me that leadership and/or a decent chunk of other Dem Senators wanted this (with some valid reasons) and these 8 were chosen to take the heat from their more vocal constituents.
11.11.2025 12:55 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The swirling has only just begun. On the surface, it sure looks like the Dems have failed to grasp strategy. Good time to remember that the average age of the founders was somewhere in their 40s... just sayin'.
10.11.2025 06:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Fortunately for those of us flying next week, this is not true. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility which is why it is spreading like wildfire.

08.11.2025 18:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If there's no Congress, there's no votes to release the Epstein files. Same old, same old. I don't know about that, etc.
08.11.2025 10:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Insuring and feeding people = "political terrorism". The new lows just keep coming. Glad to see the dems offering a reasonable solution. Still waiting for that swearing in ceremony...
08.11.2025 06:58 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Why is it always about flags and symbols rather than people? Same junk going on here as in the States.

Pigs would fly... if there were air traffic controllers...
07.11.2025 20:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And they shouldn't forget to swear in the new Congressperson (and maybe show up for work too)
07.11.2025 19:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Get rid of Citizens United and gerrymandering and democracy has a chance for rebirth.
07.11.2025 12:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0All I can say from the front lines of the small business economy is that we're facing our worst forecast for 2026 in the history of our company. Swear in our duly elected Congressperson. Release the files. Fund SNAP. Let's get on with righting this ship.
07.11.2025 08:08 โ ๐ 18 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think Putin still has the lead, but Hegseth is certainly a viable contender.
05.11.2025 15:42 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0What do Venezuela and Nigeria have in common?
Neither has the Epstein Files...
(But they do have alot of oil)
Your post made me curious about the 1932 election and it was fascinating to see the vote breakdown by state, with Hoover performing so well in the Northeast and Roosevelt sweeping the South. Also interesting that the Republicans didn't nominate a different candidate. Times (and parties) do change.
03.11.2025 08:02 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That explains work nuts!
02.11.2025 14:49 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The top three things Jesus was on about were feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger. Rich men have convinced so-called Christians to starve the hungry, gut health care, and deport the stranger to enrich themselves. Itโs astoundingly anti-Christ.

Republicans always blame the victims.
28.10.2025 07:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Here's the name of the article by the authors (which originally showed on the NYT front page as well). 30 minutes later it was changed to "A New Era of Strongman Rulers Has Begun" on the digital front page. Big difference in framing. Don't count on big media to help us.
28.10.2025 07:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Just checking: the republicans that attacked and sent marshals to arrest Texas dems for not showing up to work (in an effort to protect voting rights, btw) are the same republicans that are not showing up to work, yeah?
26.10.2025 23:15 โ ๐ 8029 ๐ 2371 ๐ฌ 139 ๐ 69This was announced in Sept. Almost like they knew what was coming... (hey, if we don't test for Covid and record deaths, then it never happened...)
27.10.2025 08:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've always wondered about the cause and effect on that one. Regardless, not healthy for democracy to have such extreme income inequality.
