“optimize your writing with AI—” how about you optimize your brain by thinking for yourself and not outsourcing your creativity to companies owned by some of the world’s worst people

tweet asking for your "most millennial complaint"

the internet was better when it was on a computer in your house and didn't consume our whole lives. time passed more slowly before there were endless distractions. you had space to read, space to think, space to grow bored and create something.

Newspaper article which reads: "Confused Pigeon Filmed Guarding Box of Cadbury Chocolate Eggs at Tesco." There is a photo of a white pigeon sitting atop a box of chocolate eggs.

Not gonna lie: today is gonna be grim. So here's some wholesome content to distract you from that sense of impending doom.

yesterday I assembled an entire woodshed without even needing to consult the instructions

Today I will dismantle an entire woodshed

Tomorrow I will re-assemble an entire woodshed, this time while consulting the instructions

today is a perfect day to log off, read a book, flee into the cold woods of Narnia and hide out for the rest of your life eating venison and toffee and Turkish delight, it’s called self-care.

Normalize posting the messy sketches!
Normalize sharing your least favorite pieces!
Normalize creating art for vengeance by drawing your enemies in compromising positions with various farm equipment!
Normalize group critiques!

I want so badly to enjoy mobile games but the ecosystem they occupy apparently forces them into being annoying to play unless you are constantly purchasing magical coins at bizarre denominations that I refuse to understand.

Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!

I feel mislead by all dystopian literature. It's supposed to be a powerful authoritarian government that lords over a cowering population, and and we just need need a few brave acts of heroism to give the people the courage to rise up.

Instead it's just half the country being dumb and mean.

a major problem with bluesky is that i can offhandedly remark "i hate drawing, its too hard" and then a sweet old lady will gently encourage me and kindly point me to some useful resources to get started drawing and i dont know what to do with myself
