I didn't take a picture until AFTER I took off my wig, but I did a Lune makeup test yesterday. 🤦‍♀️

Yesterday's Jen was a dumb-dumb who didn't do her cool-down stretches.

I do a sport where I'm constantly squatting and lunging, you'd think I'd learn. 😭

I appreciate how my coaches describe my dueling style, because it's usually a gleeful "she's fast".

Had a hard time sleeping last night, it's now happening in my hometown.

In a constant battle between "I want to scream, and shout, and kick, and bite" and "digital footprints are a thing, and I still have family and friends back there" today.

Speaking of which, I recently learned that the Indonesian word for fencing is anggar after en garde, and I find that delightful.

When you're pushing Indigenous peoples off of their homelands in the name of "conservation", then turn around and build resorts for the ultra wealthy in (supposedly protected) fragile ecosystems containing endangered species important to these peoples, claims of "eco-tourism" really don't hold.

Went to an amusement park with some friends yesterday, and I had a bunch of honeybees just hanging out around my legs. One even rested on my knee after a ride on the Tilt-A-Whirl.

I guess this is confirmation that I am, in fact, the bee's knees.

I love accidentally bumping into friends in the wild. 😂

I stopped at the stoplight next to my DMs wife and their dogs while coming home from work yesterday.

It was such a delightful surprise, I adore them Your Honour.

Sometimes working in a museum department with a bunch of Animal Crossing folk means doing your office work while the museum theme plays in the background. 🦉✨️

To be fair, this was at the 5 hour mark of my first tournament, after two sets of pools and a couple of direct elimination matches.

It was a very tired parry that did not follow up with a riposte. 💀

Getting all of my gear ready for this weekend's tournament.

I'm both super excited and terribly nervous. It'll be a great learning experience though, and I get to both explore a new city and catch up with a dear friend!

95°F+ weather means I'm almost exclusively wearing floaty linen poet shirts and things that vaguely suggest Edwardian undergarments.

My friend thought I had already played Expedition 33 because I'm a cosplayer who fences, and assumed Maelle was on my radar.

Anyway, guess who's now playing Expedition 33.
