I did try not to be too obvious as to what my previous username/accounts are, but I did do commissions and such for a lot of people in my community. Wonder if they would find me familiar. I wish we could reconnect, in a way, but I also think getting some distance and branching out was good for me.

I often wonder what happened to a lot of the people I knew when I was active on dA. Most of the ones I was actually close to are now inactive. I hope life led them somewhere nice. I hope they remember me too. I wonder if they would recognize me if they saw me now?

Can't wait to explore! Will you be playing it too? :D

Things are calming down at work again so I'm rereading Golden Kamuy. Someday I will get somebody I know to read it and they will thank me for it. Why is this thing so damn hard to pitch??

Yeah! I'm also lucky enough to have found a job that's pretty quiet during fall/winter so I'll often have enough time for a doodle or two between emails :D So I hope your job doesn't stress you out too much! Art still finds ways to pop up, as it always has. It's never gone for long.

In a way, I value doing art more than before because now it no longer feels like the main defining trait of my life. Back on dA art was my only way of making money and friends so I leaned way too hard on it. But now it's not what's keeping me afloat so I feel like I can have fun with it again

Seconding the not forcing it part. I think that not viewing it as an obligation or a task really helped, and I basically wait for inspiration before I get started on anything. A lot of the time I'll be too tired and give up but when I actually do manage to draw something it feels like a little treat

It was nice! Is the beach far from where you live? (If I lived closer to it I would go way more often! But unfortunately...)

Went to visit our ex-roomie at the coast and the waves were very powerful (and the rocks were very sharp), so when we went for a swim I got thrown around like an old boat and now I'm scratched up and bruised as hell. But it was fun and worth it!

Thank you!! It's already much better, with the therapy and meds added to the mix. Think it might be over in like a week at this point, the worst is over :D

Cracked open my sketchbook and there was a tiny spider just chilling. Peace and love forever on this shitty bed

A week ago I was admitted to the ER due to a slowly-spreading facial paralysis. Since then it has enveloped the entire left side of my face, leaving me unable to blink or speak properly, as well as severely limiting my movement in general. They ruled out everything else so the only thing left to diagnose it as is Bell's palsy. They were also unable to tell me why it occurred or when (or whether) I would make a full recovery, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to make guesses as of right now. So far there has been no improvement, despite the meds I've been taking. I have managed to get a month off of work (both on the account of not being able to stare at a screen for 8+ hours and having to attend physiotherapy) and I've been more or less resting. The current heat wave is making this a bit difficult but thankfully we managed to obtain a portable AC beforehand and that helped a ton. I've managed to arrange regular visits to a physiotherapist and I'm hoping this condition will improve soon. The sessions actually cost less than I expected! A rarity! So yeah, I've been online a little less than usual but I'm alive. Not entirely well, but alive for sure.

Art is probably gonna be even rarer for a little bit. If anybody has tips that could help me deal with this please let me know!
