When I was in high school we had two back to back snow days after our spring break. It was one of the most fun things that ever happened in boarding school.
It felt impossible to have two days off in a row let alone after a vacation (so no homework!)
My kids are getting to experience that now.

in public, the men's hockey team has been supportive of the women's team, going to games, cheering them on, saying they were inspired by the OT golden goal
must be gutting to feel that support and then get first-hand evidence that behind closed doors, when it's just The Boys, they're laughing at you
It's wild to watch women who are obsessed with hockey romance be confronted with the reality of men's hockey players being the absolute worst.

ICE agents are heavily armed, they are violent, and they do this frankly weird thing where they awkwardly make a show of filing protestors with a Sony camera. It never feels safe.
But WE ALWAYS COME OUT to witness these fuckers.
This is the scene I was at this morning. I know Minnesotans filming ICE in their bathrobes is becoming a bit of a thing, but after you laugh, let it dawn on you that people here hate ICE so much that we rush out half-dressed to film even when there are already dozens of others doing the same thing.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
