The acting, cinematography, and score in The Brutalist are so strong, it makes it hard to see the flaws of The Brutalist, a movie with a lot to say, but lacking a coherent point of view. A beautiful, but ultimately forgettable, spectacle.

I’m going to create some boundaries around when I take in any news or social media. I believe taking care of ourselves needs to be a priority. I’m going to try to limit news consumption to the morning and be off of social media after 6PM.

You’d think it’d be better here but I was driving in some snow a few weeks ago and there were so many accidents.

Doing some work on my kitchen and considering making the switch from gas to induction. Anyone have good recs? Ideally I’d get a single stove/oven unit, but can consider separate cooktop and ovens.

Ahhhhhh! It’s a good one! I enjoyed all of the books of hers that I read. I thought it might be pulpy but there’s so much depth to the characters.
