Almond trees sweeper getting the almonds ready for harvesting in 105 Fahrenheit working 12 to 16 hours every day.
Delano CA was expected to peak at 105° this day as this farm worker worked in the almond orchards. He works 12 -16 hours a day for minimum wage sweeping up the fallen almonds so they can continue their processing. #WeFeedYou #calor

At the Michigan Farm Bureau’s Washington Legislative Seminar, Senator Slotkin called food a national security issue but ignored the farm workers who make it possible.

Back in January, our community in Kern County was terrorized by CBP agents. The ACLU filed a lawsuit on behalf of our sister organization, the UFW, where we also represented two of the plaintiffs, claiming the stops violated their Fourth Amendment rights.
