Americans are replying to this with appropriate "What are you going to do about it" anger. Being in the UK, I mean I am just shaking my head in total, disbelief that this is happening at all.
This is relevant.
Zack being a young berk trying to make his way in the world *13 years ago* as opposed to the people currently making policy that they *know* is increasing the teenage suicide rate. Killing youngsters.

Thank you! You must let us know if you need any funding for this absolutely necessary exercise.
Yes! Fuck 'em.
Well given that I look after (usually elderly) people who've just come out of hospital, and am going to train as a Humanist (hello!) Funeral Celebrant *relatively* soon, the answer is definitely Yes!
UNICEF says that in just 12 days of war in the Middle East, more than 1,100 children have been reported injured or killed in the violence. βThis includes 200 children reportedly killed in Iran, 91 in Lebanon, four in Israel and one in Kuwait.β
This lawless war has to stop.
@windowdolls.bsky.social (I'm very dull BTW ;)
It's gorgeous. It also has that lovely Dutch use of light. Wonderful!
That's it! I mean, Douglas Adams didn't do physics, but his intense natural curiosity led him to understand thermodynamics, and it took me pffftttt.... Another 20 years (humanities student, see) until I found out about Brownian motion and then I really laughed.
He had a sprightly, delightful mind.
What I don't understand is, why don't they just buy ones that fit, and pretend to him that they're the originals?
The whole thing is history documentary level astounding.
The state of simultaneously thinking "What the hell?!" and "The inevitability of this is distressing".
The troubles
A really strong Brownian motion liquid.
I knew when I heard this for the first time (on the radio :) there was a double joke in there but didn't know what the second one was for a long time.
I am always absolutely gutted when I remember how young Douglas Adams was when he died. I hesitate to say "What else could he have created?" given that he was a highly distractable procrastinator but we needed him, and what he *did* create is still astounding.
Absolutely love the two woman looking at a phone together. What a composition! Such a private moment. That's the kind of intimacy that you otherwise only see in painted portraits of women which are by women.
That is a hell of a gap! I'd never noticed it before, oddly
Had the sudden realisation that it's not so much a distraction from the Epstein files gsnerally, as from the fact that there are now files being released with Trump's name writ large.
The reports coming out of the government briefing are effectively "They have no idea what they're doing or why".
My heart, it bleeds
