You ever think about how long-form gaming content is one of few entertainment industries where being told that you put someone to sleep or make for good background noise is a compliment?

I am absolutely in love with the new Katamari game so far!
This is ramping up to be everything I've ever wanted in this series and then some!
This is serious game of the year material right here!
By the end of the year (probably December), I'd like to put out an update for Michael's game that balances a few things, clarifies some moments I've been told are poorly explained, and fixes the typos.
Thank you everyone for pointing those out, by the way.
@thegamedawg.bsky.social played Bushi Yoroi Maki - The Black Magnum Chronicles. Its nice to see perspective from someone who's not closely affiliated to me give their thoughts on the game, flaws, boons and all. #rpgmaker #bushiyoroimaki

Sullivan, Tourte, and Orbit.
Part of the intro, they'll likely be the first characters you see in Ix's full game.

That's a really cute art!
18.10.2025 08:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've been really enjoying drawing Jade.
The "Red Hyena", as Ix calls her. I don't think he knows that she's an opossum.
Another Dartmoor art too.
"Are we having FUN yet??!"
Recent Ix doodles.
And a potential new monster too
I call it the Cardquistador.
Always really liked card soldiers.
Really hot take but I personally did not enjoy Hollow Knight.
I tried it for about three hours last month, and pretty much everything I heard about it that ever disinterested me from wanting to try it ended up to be true.
This is one of my best models yet!
Draco, the hyena scientist.
Got to try lots of new little things and techniques with this one.
That eye is something too. It's suppose to be a plasma ball (tried following a tutorial, didn't turn out so well), but I still like the look of it!
These statues are part of a game called the "Elfabet"
They give you a punch card and you find these 26 statues around the park that punch out a letter.
I love these things! They really encourage you to explore the park.
And I'd love to recreate something like this for Ix's game.
Second was Santa's Village, also in New Hampshire.
Top notch immersion here! I found myself appreciating this wonderful park so, so much.
Especially as someone who can always enjoy out-of-season Christmas aesthetic.
Visited two theme parks over the weekend with the family!
First was Story Land in New Hampshire.
Based on fairy tales and whimsy. This was my favorite park as a kid.
Engage just a tiny bit in making your game "artistically bad", as I call it.
Go against the grain just a tiny bit.
Just for fun.
Watch what happens.
The testers may like it, without being able to explain why.
It might even serve to make the game more immersive, who knows.
What if the Final Fantasy spell [Libra] also told you the enemy's social security number?

Along came a spider, who sat down beside her
He wanted Cowabunga Crunch Dippin' Dotsβ’ too
"Artistically bad" is a very, very good thing, for the record.
A term I coin for games that knowingly go against the grain of what we'd traditionally call 'good game design.'
All in service of eliciting a certain reaction or feeling out of a player.
Extremely hard to do well!
Cruelty Squad is worth studying.
The epitome of an artistically bad game. Looking incomprehensible at a glance, while containing a deep story that made me think, and contemplate the future.
Amazing gameplay too.
Would you believe me if I said this is the first FPS I've ever completed?
Recently tried Tabletop Sim for the first time.
It's fun! Real fun.
From what I've heard, fantastic.

05.10.2025 17:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've heard people criticize grilling before because it cooks food unevenly. Due to the randomness of the fire.
Though I think trying to get the fire to work for you is part of the magic to grilling.
There's not a lot of science to grilling, but certainly a lot of skill and technique for sure.
Ix logic.
It just makes sense.
