I just switched my pharmacy. The new pharmacist looked at my bill and was clearly bothered for how much I still had to pay. βDiabetes is expensive,β I said. βOn top of that, you still have to prove to need these meds all the time.β He couldnβt fix my bill, but his compassion felt like a kind hug.

Journal of Vietnamese Studies (JVS) is a quarterly, international academic journal dedicated to advancing rigorous interdisciplinary scholarship about Vietnam. Since its founding in 2006, JVS has become a premier venue for original research across the social sciences and humanities, exploring Vietnamese history, politics, society, and culture, as well as Vietnam-related topics that have traditionally been set apart from mainstream area studies scholarship such as the Vietnamese diaspora and the Vietnam War. The journal publishes original research articles, book reviews, multimedia reviews, and occasionally translations of Vietnamese-language documents and texts. It is indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science. Applicants should have a distinguished scholarly record in fields in or related to Vietnamese Studies or with a significant research interest relating to Vietnam. Journal editorial experience is strongly preferred but not required. Applicants should possess strong organizational and management skills, the ability to work with others, and a commitment to JVSβs mission to publish high-quality, relevant, and engaging scholarship.
