Not the most conventional conference to present my poster @cpeg-cpb25.bsky.social . But what great people, interesting talks, and methodologies. Three more days full of inspiration ๐Ÿคฉ

My internship at the NHM London is at an end, and the most spectacular finding are Agabus arcticus remains in the Late Glacial deposits from Southern Lithuania. This species, and more cold-adapted species IDs, will make climate reconstructions for Lithuania during Late Glacial. I'm very excited! ๐Ÿฅณ

Week #2 at the @nhm.org is closing. Finding lots of cold-adapted species in beetle assemblages from Late Glacial deposits from Lithuania. Can't wait to publish this year. One more week to go! ๐Ÿž

Hi, I'm Nick and I'm a Quaternary entomologist. I still have a bad memory about how ECN handled their conference policy during covid, and in general, the high conference fee has been enough for me to not register (at times when I had funding). Are there any alternatives? I would be very interested:)

Ten simple rules to bridge ecology and palaeoecology by publishing outside palaeoecological journals Owing to its specialised methodology, palaeoecology is often regarded as a separate field from ecology, even though it is essential for understanding long-term ecological processes that have shaped th...

New paper out: Ten simple rules to publish palaeoecological data in ecology journals. Especially for ECRs, I hope it can be useful.

It mostly reads as a 'how to write and publish an article', but we added many tips and references from palaeoecology.

Last week, we found black gold again. The ลชla river in #Lithuania gives access to late Glacial sediment, sometimes even with beautiful bivalve remains. We @ Nature Research Centre #Vilnius will investigate what other macro remains are captured in these >10,000 yo lake sediments.

Yesterday I signed the contract to work at the Nature Research Centre in Vilnius. I am receiving a two-year postdoc fellowship grant from the Lithuanian Research Council to to study Early Holocene beetle assemblages from the Eastern Baltic region (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland) ๐Ÿ˜€
