Indeed. I've been playing Octopath Traveler 0 and I often have moments where I'm like "Okay, I broke their shields. Do I wanna go fully on the offensive while they're wide open or spend the turns healing and setting up some buffs/debuffs?".
Like, I really hate the kind of criticism about JRPGs, and RPGs in general. The point of being turn based is to actually have moments to think about what your moves should be in the moment and how you think future turns will/should play out.
