Made my first political video content as awkward as it might have been LOL
At the end of the day we all need each other and will only make it out of this together.
As the arm of this fascist regime reaches into our communities to terrorize us, I encourage you to find ways to protect and support your neighbors that are most vulnerable.
Building strong local communities that are responsive is key to fighting this gross overreach and state sponsored terrorism.
CNN covered our work passing the arms embargo resolution! Not 100% friendly, but pretty cool a major media outlet picked it up! The author actually contacted me to see if other states had reached out about the resolution.

Can’t believe I got to be a part of this history. Shout out to my fellow coalition members that made this possible! This would never have been possible without your hard work and dedication. You all inspire me and validate my decision to get involved. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this.❤️

Yesterday at the SEC meeting we made history, becoming the first state party to pass a resolution calling for an embargo on military aid and weapons transfers to Israel and the second state party to pass the People’s Primaries resolution that Arizona passed recently!

You don’t have to take on as much as I’m choosing to in order to contribute because despite what some may lead you to believe, ANYTHING is better than NOTHING. Small contributions from a lot of people add up to a lot. ✊
I have been doing what I set out to do when I made the choice to be more than just a keyboard warrior and it has been really fulfilling. My goal has been to help inspire others to get engaged and involved to join this fight with me.
I am now the Vice President of the Progressive Democrats of Wake County.
Since deciding to get involved back in February, I have now become a Precinct Chair, SEC member, member-at-large of the LGBTQ Democrats of Wake County executive council, and now this.
I have gotten to work with some amazing folks in this short time and have learned soooo much. This has been a truly rewarding decision to get involved and I am really looking forward to seeing what else we can do.
It has been truly awesome helping get this passed at the county and district level, now to have the chance to help get it passed at the state level is wild. I never would have imagined when I started getting involved in February that I would be in this position, helping affect change in this way.
Arms Embargo Resolution passed through Platforms and Resolutions Committee for the state party and now we will get to vote for it at the upcoming SEC meeting!
Please call your senators and tell them to vote against H.R. 1, “The Big, Beautiful Bill”.
If it passes we are all fucked.

202-224-3154 - Ted Budd

The American Anti-Corruption Act lays out the most pressing issues we should be addressing as a country.
Everything comes back to money and until we fix the money problems, we will never be able to solve our political issues as a country.

5. I have been a part of organizing a precinct ice cream social for June 1st with Precinct 01-23. We will have a number of elected officials attending, so this is shaping up to be a good one!
4. Our first County Executive Committee meeting since the County Convention will be taking place on the 29th. I am interested to see what this will be like as it will be my first time attending one of these particular meetings.
3. The Congressional District 2 Convention is this Saturday and it will be another showdown fighting for the Military Embargo on Israel Resolution to move on. It did not pass at two other Congressional District Conventions, so we have our work cut out for us.
2. Just attended a Wake County Progressive Democrats Caucus meeting where folks pre-declared for executive council positions. I was nominated for the Technology Chair and plan to run next month at elections.
Updates on political journey:
1. I became a member-at-large of the executive council for the Wake County LGBTQ+ Democrats Caucus. We met recently to talk about plans to get NDOs passed in the cities of Wake County that do not currently have them….
I attended the reorganization convention of the NCDP AANHPI Caucus to help make sure it happened, but did not expect it would be as intense as it was. Some L’s were definitely taken and I learned some things about how people make power moves in these arenas. Strategy is so important.
Democracy prevails in NC! Jefferson Griffin has finally conceded and Allison Rigg’s election is no longer under attack. Huge win!
