The premise & first half were amazing! But after that the wheels feel off. It felt fantastical and veers off course. I liked that I thought I had it figured out but was wrong so it kept me guessing but it just got so unbelievable and farfetched. Disappointed with all the hype surrounding it.

#ABridgeAcrossTheOcean is 1 of the best books I’ve read this year! Historical fiction with a touch of paranormal; not cheesy - in “this could happen” way! The povs change from women during WWII & a woman in current times. The story was addicting and heartfelt. I couldn’t put it down!

#theparisapartment started slow but once it got going - it was a freight train! Multiple povs fill in the backstory and propel the story. When Jess goes to Paris to hide out with her brother she finds his apartment empty and very suspicious neighbors. Who can she trust and where is her brother?

This got me in the feels as a new empty nester! I was riveted and kept relating to it all! Beckett’s daughter is starting college in her hometown - a place she left after a horrible tragedy. She is forced to return after another tragedy hits close to home. Loved the split timeline & so well written.

#AHauntingOnTheHill is a perfect fall book filled with the things we love about scary movies. The middle felt redundant with repeating of details but I liked the story and horror feel of it. I didn’t mesh with the characters- didn’t seem too likable but it was easy to get past that for the story.

Based on a true story - at 17, Madeline fell in love with prominent John Astor - 29 years older. But age and societal differences couldn’t stop their love. Pregnant & heading home from their honeymoon they board the Titanic. Hauntingly beautiful.

#DontLetHimIn is 1 of those books that makes you feel smart because you think you have it all figured out & BAM!! You do but you don’t! I loved how the ending smacked me upside the head & laughed at my smugness. Definitely at thrill ride where you want to yell at the characters to open their eyes.

#SomewhereBeyondTheSea proves that authors can write a sequel as well or even better than the original! The feelings of hope, family, and love still ring true as the family fights for each other and to stay together. Here’s hoping for a third book in the series!!

Never has the warmth of characters in a book made me feel so warm inside. No matter your circumstances, race, religion, or gender - you belong. Linus lives by the rules as a caseworker but when he goes to a Level 4 orphanage, all the rules & regulations go out the window. This book gives me hope.

From an author I found on TikTok - #mandrakemanor 3 friends that move to the house 1 of them inherits & find more than they bargained for. A fun story of mischief and mayhem. An evil HOA. Finding family in those around you and some new love interests as well of course! Sassy & smart!

#TheLockedWard was a wonderful escape from reality! An adopted woman is accused of murdering her parent’s biological child. Her only hope - her twin adopted to a different family. Neither knew the other existed. Sounds crazy, right!? The author makes it work!! A great book to add to your TBR!

The Atlas Six follows 6 gifted magicians recruited to be initiated in a powerful society. After initiation year, only 5 will survive. The characters are puddle deep and there are no details of the society. I had high hopes because it seemed like Harry Potter meets Fourth Wing but it’s not.

If you want a book where everything makes sense and you know what’s happening and what will happen - don’t read this one. #thelasthouseonneedlessstreet Will have you questioning everything in the most brilliant way! An absolutely fascinating read that took me on one hell of a journey!!
