What's going on at Guantanamo Bay?

The issue is that now, Navajo citizens are being harassed by ICE simply because they aren't white. What is the point of this harassment? Can it lead to more extreme treatment of Native people by ICE? Will it? It certainly can, and it certainly could!

Trust me, I have. I lived on the Navajo rez for a long time, and I have Navajo and Arapahoe family and friends. I am well aware of the systemic racism Native Americans have endured since the beginning of European colonization of this continent.

If you have Native American friends and family, as I do, tell them not to open their doors to ICE unless the officer presents a LEGAL warrant signed by a judge. They need to carry all their papers at all times, especially birth certificates. If you see ICE harassing ANYONE, film it!
